MUCAR

The Blind and Amblyopia Unit Movement of Rosario MUCAR (by its acronym in Spanish) is a foundation that defends the rights of people with visual disabilities and promotes an environment of social integration through workshops, talks, cultural activities and sale of products for the blind since 1981.

MUCAR currently has a social center where they support 250 people, but unfortunately the building’s facilities are quite old and obsolete to the needs of its members and to the new demands of the municipal authorities. The beneficiaries in the Santa Fe area are between 5 and 60 years old, of whom more than 50% are women and children.

With this project, the bathroom facilities will be renewed, which have deteriorated during 65 years of use, to facilitate access to people with visual disabilities, as well as to the staff currently working in the foundation.

The objective of this project is:

• Remodeling restrooms for women and men.

• Construction of an exclusive restroom for the disabled.

• Comply with municipal requirements.

Budget: 5000 euro.
