Construction, equipment and maintenance of a
child’s nursery Cooperarq.

Marquesado, Rivadavia, Province of San Juan

Scope of the Project:  construct, equip and maintain a childâs nursery to lodge children from ages 0 to 10 while their parents or tutors leave the home due to illness, work or other justified reasons.

In addition, this project aims to involve the same members of the benefited community, training them (with the assistance and coordination of the participant professionals) in tasks such as building, plumber, carpentry and electricity, thus encouraging and strengthening the community skills for future auto sustainability projects.

Children are the priority beneficiary group; however the project will also benefit large and poor family groups, whose head and economic provider is usually a woman.

With the construction of a childâs nursery many family groups will have the possibility to count on a reliable and safe place where to leave their children for short or long periods of time. The nursery will protect children from stacking or physical and emotional abuse, and from the abandonment or domestic risks that they may encounter when left alone at home without adult supervision.
