Objective: Teach families of this region to generate an income out of entrepreneurship. Encourage healthy development of children aged 0 to 5 years.

Investment: 6 sewing machines; 5 bench scales; 5 stadiometers; 2 scales; 3 pediatric scales; 2 baby height rods; 2 baby scales
Quantity of beneficiaries: 1,740 directly and 3,336 indirectly (28% are women and 72% are children from 0 to 5 years old).
The project aims to support two programs of Haciendo Camino: vocational training and nutrition.
The Vocational Training Program aims to improve quality of life and teach families in need to generate income. Mothers are offered vocational trainings (handicraft, sewing, looming, knitting, gastronomy), courses to become social entrepreneurs and workshops on overall health. Also, the trainings are connected to the nutrition program, for the mothers to participate in both programs.
The Nutrition program aims to eradicate child malnutrition. The treatment of nutritional recovery and the stimulation of malnourished children aged 0 to 5 years is being combined with schooling of the mother by means of educational workshops on health and vocational training.
